Dutch Design? Cosmo Design!

Just how 'Dutch' is Dutch design?

  • 20 Sept 07 20
    TENT. | Witte de Withstraat 50 (ground floor), Rotterdam (view on map) | T 0031(0)10-4135498 | www.tentrotterdam.nl

Is Dutch Design an international language, or should it be more representative of our cosmopolitan society? An evening on cross-cultural initiatives such as 'el Hema' (Mediamatic), 'Moslima Fashion' (Showroom Mama), Memardutch (architecture) and the 'Wereldservies' by Imre Bergmann. How are other cultures currently being treated as a source of inspiration for ‘Dutch Design’? Is there such a thing as interaction between different design cultures? Are there (unwritten) rules that are changing? Do designers actually need other cultures for inspiration?
