Almosawer, Egyptian Magazine back from 1949

photograph of a rare publication by Ahmad S. Kamel

This is a photograph of a page from Al Mosawer magazine, that dates back to 1949 and released in Egypt. I was truly fascinated by the calligraphy for headings, illustrations and photographs. My favourite would go to the article about TV, I absolutely love the title's calligraphy, the little boxy tv illustration and even the fact that TV was speculated ever since for its evilness and wrecking social lives.

The photograph is taken by Ahmad S. Kamel, where he has a full collection of vintage photographs from Egypt especially during the rule of the Royal Family.
