my new work2

My intent is to challenge the function of negative spaces and highlight its existence as a separate entity that can exist on its own. Using calligraphy as my inspiration, I have attempted to draw out and explore the visual/ spatial possibilities that their negative spaces within the letters present to me as a designer.
By extracting, enlarging and rearranging this negative space I have created new compositions that encompass both the objective and non objective.
These reinvented forms are bold, seemingly simple and graphic but encourage the viewer to formulate their own narratives.
