The Arabic design community needs such a website to contribute, share ideas, discuss topics, announce events, etc.
I am looking forward to start adding articles and sharing ideas and topics with the other members of the khatt foundation.
And the new design and interface of the website looks nice and clean.

Excellent khatt bawwabeh
This is a beautiful portal (bawwabeh) for Arabic typography. Pun intended in reference to Ibn El-Bawwab the great calligrapher of a great era in Arab culture and history. Huda I heard a lot about you and your work. Did Samir Sayegh teach you? He is a friend from the haydays of artistic ferment of the mid-60's in Beirut. Is there an Arabic version of Khatt?
recommondations for UI improvements

The site is great and will so be a valuable resource, I'm sure. I'm looking forward to seeing it improve as time progresses.
I love the simplistic design of the site, which lends itself toward an emphasis on the typography. However, I would recommend working on the user interaction in a few areas. Particularly:
The forums
- When a user wants to post, they must scroll to the bottom of the page. Perhaps this was intentional to force them to read previous posts, but I'd recommend otherwise.
- The forum is very difficult to navigate. I would recommend nesting posts in forced categories to aid the visitor in finding the information they need.
- There's a very non-intuitive way of placing new posts in the page. Exactly in the middle! Posts with the highest number of responses come first in descending order, then new posts, followed by old, unanswered posts. Weird.
There are a number of usability issues in user profiles too. Such as how to add images and where they will go when added. Can't really delve into that right now.
I do approve of some of the ajaxy goodness around the site such as clickable text edit fields, but these things should only be used if they have been heavily tested beforehand. I say this because (as you're aware) I couldn't register on the site at all, and I wonder if this was do to a poorly implemented ajax interaction.
A lot of this does seem to point toward a homegrown CMS, but I'm sure these bugs can be worked out.
I haven't specifically gone through every element of the site looking for difficult points, but this is what I have found so far.

Error in Edit !
Hi to all,
I want to Edit one of my Articles in Khtt.net in my page...
But there is a problem that was not till now... An error massage is apeared : "EditInPlce : You can not edit this one" !!! Whay? I want to change some and titles of that article...
