Abdulkader Arnaout (1936-1992) is a pioneer graphic designer in Syria. A passionate poet, painter, typographer, and designer, Arnaout designed more than 600 posters and around 300 book covers among other design applications such as Arabic fonts and logos. This book examines the large collection of posters designed for the Damascus International Fair during more than 40 years among many other modernist designs by Arnaout that highly contributed to the development of graphic design and typography in Syria and the Arab World.

This book is part of the series: The Arabic Design Library, a concise series of design monographs, spanning the period of 1960s–1980s in the Arab World.
