Stéphane Boeuf would love to produce a OpenType calligraphic Thuluth typeface. This would be a daunting task. The illustration shows the Thuluth style by the calligrapher M Farooq Al-Haddad. One letter is colored in red to show the large variety in shape and position of one individual letter.

Please keep me informed of developments with this Thuluth font. I am working on a television series that will investigate the future of calligraphy. This effort to make a font with extreme calligraphic sensitivity is of great interest to my project.
