Arabesque investigates the current creative potential of the Arab World and Persia. The book collects examples of recent innovative and groundbreaking design work that is inspired by the richness of the region’s visual culture. In addition to a wide range of Arabic fonts and typefaces, it presents graphic design, modern calligraphy, logos and illustration by artists from Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon. Supplemented by texts that describe the environments in which the designers and artists work, Arabesque also includes a CD-ROM with the Arabic inspired Latin typeface created by Ben Wittner and Sascha Thoma.

it was much needed!
beautiful collection of work! i even sat my mom down to show it to her, explaining: "mommy this is what we typographers and type designers do!" never did any book give me such a pride to commercialize this profession... brilliant!
oh and by the way, what are the contacts that need to be made to publish personal work in such a book... cuz i have done projects that are very relevant to the content of this book, so how can i be on the watch-out for future publishings?

congratulations!
Ben, Sascha and Nicolas,
Congratulations with this beautiful and inspiring book!!!
