Areej Atallah

Senior graphic design student at Dar Al-hekma College in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Interested in Illustration, logo design and Arabic typography...My goal is to gain experience as much as I can, and help the society understandings of their values.

During college, I have always been impressed by logo design and typography. I won the first prize in the competition of HRH/Princess Sita Al-Saud in designing her company (Legend Mist) logo identity. I participated in designing and supporting during TAWASUL Design Conference as well as my contribution of DAH exhibitions. As a hard worker and active designer, I started freelancing in 2008 and then, I went on to work for summer as Graphic Designer with TAMM COMMUNICATION, Jeddah.

Looking for increasing my knowledge and understanding in design, I attended "Mousharaka" Conference in Qatar and participated in The Typeface Workshop given by Brockett Horne, United States. In addition to a four-session workshop to create public service announcement given by Eissa Bougary the co-founder of 3Points. I also participated in the "Disruption workshop" held by TBWA\RAAD\SAUDI ARABIA in June 2008.

The workshop followed the same one day course module Atrissi gave in Kuwait a week earlier, consisting of a typographic lettering exercise that invited senior and junior graphic design students to “design” an Arabic word of their choice.
