I am Hasan Abu Afash from the Gaza Strip, Palestine (And I am living there in this moment). I am a chemical engineer, a designer and I have a good knowledge in typography. Till now, I succeeded to create 6 fonts.

In year 2007, I have lunched a bilingual website (Arabic, English) interested in Arabic calligraphy and computerized font design.

This web site has a number of good Arabic fonts, and Hasan is working on many new projects, which will serve Arabic typography significantly.

I designed many Arabic fonts including:
Hasan Alquds: Cooperated with Mr. Mamoun Sakkal to produce this OpenType font in 2004. It was entered in the TDC 2004 type design competition in the United States. Later, it was extended to support all the languages that use the Arabic script and to include all the Arabic characters in the Unicode Standard 5. It has five weights: Light, Regular, Medium, Bold and Extra Bold.

Hasan Hiba: In 2005, this new traditional Kufi style typeface was entered in the first Linotype Arabic Type Design Competition in Germany and received fifth place in the Display Fonts category.

- Hasan Elham: In 2006, this is a decorative font and could be called (Modern Kufi)
- Hasan Aya: In 2007, it is a modern Kufi style which based on latin font.

Recently, I finished designing Hasan Enas: It is a new Arabic naskh font which suitable for text.
