Dina Khorchid

I graduated in June 2009 from The American University of Sharjah with a BS degree in Visual Communication. Inspired by art since childhood, I developed a curiosity for exploring different media and ways of expression. As an result, I find myself carrying my little sketchbooks and black pens wherever I go, doodling whatever characters come to mind. I usually end up sketching illustrations with playful spirits. I also enjoy painting, photography and anything related to design.

My mind travels to an unexplored world of curious self-expression, my luggage are my tools and myself. My tools consist of anything that can make a mark, a pencil, a paintbrush, a camera, a computer mouse, or perhaps a combination of all. I use my tools to help me get a better understanding of myself, and my reality, to express my inner-thoughts, opinions, and interpretations of my environment. The process of art making exposes me to a new way of seeing and experiencing changes, ones that come from within and others that affect my surroundings.
