Printed Matter is pleased to announce three fundraising editions in support of the NY Art Book Fair, the world's leading event for artists' books, catalogs, monographs, periodicals, and zines. Created each year to help ensure that the event remains free and open to the public, this year's editions feature works by Sarah Crowner, Karlheinz Weinberger, and Mungo Thomson. Fundraising editions will be on view and available for purchase at the Printed Matter booth (Gallery F) over the course of the book fair and also through the official website.

A dynamic program of special projects, screenings, book signings and performances will take place throughout the weekend. The Classroom—a curated series of artist-led workshops, readings, and discussions—and the annual Contemporary Artists' Books Conference—a two-day symposium on emerging practices and dialog within art-book culture—will run throughout the fair and are free to the public. Clive Phillpot and Warren Lehrer will deliver this year's keynote addresses.

This year's fair will also feature, among others, special programs with The Schoolyard and Small Press Dome, Friendly Fire, a Swiss Focus room, and Focus: Photography. Exhibitor project rooms are presented by FULTON RYDER, onestar press/Three Star Books, Badlands Unlimited and Yale School of Architecture. Fair exhibitions will include an extensive exhibition of book works by Bruno Munari presented by Printed Matter and Edizioni Corraini, The Ray Johnson Room and Paperwork.

For the first time at the NY Art Book Fair we're pleased to feature an offsite exhibition, presented by ARTBOOK | DAP, ForYourArt, and PictureBox, and generously hosted by See.Me. Located at 26-19 Jackson Avenue, a five-minute walk from PS1, In the Good Name of the Company: Artworks and ephemera produced by or in tandem with the Colby Printing Company contains more than 200 posters spanning 40 years, including work by Ed Ruscha, Kathryn Andrews, Peter Coffin, Eve Fowler and Allen Ruppersberg. This year's fair is organized by newly-appointed curator Shannon Michael Cane, who has worked in various roles at Printed Matter over the last five years. He first attended the NY Art Book Fair as an exhibitor in 2007 with his independently published "art almanac." Printed Matter Executive Director James Jenkin said:

"The eighth annual NY Art Book Fair promises to be one to remember with over 280 exhibitors from 20 countries. Our new curator Shannon Cane is bringing some exciting dimensions to this year's fair, choosing to showcase some new younger publishers doing fantastic things in the field of artist books, alongside many of our favorite long term exhibitors. With a record 60 programs and events throughout the weekend, a major survey of the books from Bruno Munari, a featured Swiss pavilion, as well our first time satellite exhibition space at see.me–we're looking forward to a dynamic three days from start to finish."
