The first Dubai Design Week featuring some of the best local and regional design talent, and welcoming the international design community. Throughout Dubai Design Week, a diverse 6-day programme of keynote speeches, panel discussions, public performances and educational workshops will allow all visitors – from the design professional through to the design curious – the opportunity to discover and engage with design. The core programme takes place at the Atrium, Building 4 of the Dubai Design District (d3) and the Downtown Design auditorium.

Held in partnership with Dubai Design District (d3) and under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), Dubai Design Week is a citywide event, engaging the entire community and shining the global spotlight on the city with an extensive array of world premieres, installations and activities across the six days.

Dubai Design Week will encompass culture, education and entertainment with key initiatives spanning multiple disciplines of design, from graphic and product design to architecture and industrial design. Across the city designers, retailers, brands, galleries, restaurants, universities and institutions will stage Design Week-dedicated events and activities, from interactive installations to design exhibitions to new collection launches.

Within d3, Dubai Design Week will host a public programme of talks, lectures and workshops which will educate, support and promote local talent to an international audience. From panel discussions on supporting design in Dubai, to workshops which will explore the fundamentals of different design disciplines, the extensive programme will encourage a greater interest in the region’s design activity.
