As part of the Louvre Abu Dhabi Talking Art Series, Yannick Lintz, Director of the Department of Islamic Arts at the Louvre Paris, Sheila Canby, Director of the Islamic Collection at the Metropolitan Museum, and Ahmad Al-Shoky, General Director of Cairo Museum of Islamic Art, will examine the historical concept of Islamic Art. The speakers will discuss its content, categories, and presentation in light of modern museology. The talk is moderated by Souraya Noujaim, Curator of Islamic Art at Agence France Museums.
