Printing Plant is officially part of Amsterdam Art Weekend 2019. The opening of the fair will take place on Friday November 22 and will be accompanied by a captivating live performance.

Khatt Books is exhibiting its latest titles and will be presenting an installation that showcases a selection of original publications and works of the Arab designers and illustrators that they have featured in their series of design monographs entitled The Arabic Design Library. The works range from illustrations, lettering, and graphic design from Egyptian, Syrian, Lebanese and Iraqi design pioneers who have made significant contribution to design in the Arab World since the 1960s.

Printing Plant Art Book Fair is initiated by Looiersgracht 60's founders and directors Soraya Notoadikusumo and Nadine Snijders, as a a platform to support the art book of the present, and to foster a community of art-publishers both locally and globally.

It is an intimate three-day art book fair for like-minded, independent publishers and interested audiences. With
over 80 (inter)national publishers, Printing Plant will present a remarkable selection of artist editions, catalogues, books,
monographs, periodicals and zines that are generally unavailable in bookshops. Spanning 750 square meters of exhibition space, the fair invites visitors to learn from a range of carefully selected independent publishers, antiquarian dealers, artists, galleries and printmakers who will be showcasing their works throughout the weekend.

Printing Plant hosts over 80 exhibitors from 19 countries (Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany,
Greece, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States). See the full list of exhibitors below.

Public Programme
Over the course of the weekend, the fair will be complemented by a curated public programme, including a range of specialist talks, discussions, book launches, performances, signings and bookbinding workshops for children. For more information please visit our website.
