At Design Days Dubai, 29 of the most influential galleries from all six continents, including international design fair debutantes from Lebanon, Mexico and Australia, will offer design investment pieces of exceptional worth to patrons of design and those wishing to build on their design investment portfolio.

Several new initiatives and highlights (xecrpts from the DDD2013 website).

1. The Crafts Council, internationally known as the British Crafts Council will bring a group of contemporary craft makers, gallery owners and educators to Design Days Dubai.

2. Taksheel, in collaboration with Design Days Dubai sponsor Van Cleef & Arpels invited artists and designers resident in all the Gulf Corporation Council (GCC) to submit works towards a competition interpreting a concept that has intrigued artists, writers and philosophers for centuries - 'Metamorphosis'.

3. The online catalogue for Design Days Dubai is a quick and informative guide on the fair's highlights, featuring the participating galleries and some of the exquisite design pieces on show - from  iconic 20th century design pieces to the contemporary design of today.
