Alireza Vaziri Rahimi

Alireza Vaziri Rahimi is a design director and educator. He is an assistant professor of design at the University of Maryland and a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA). He earned his MFA degree in Design from the University of California, Davis, and his BFA in Design from the University of Art, Tehran.

Alireza is a multidisciplinary designer utilizing visual storytelling and interactive media to promote social change with design. His scholarship, teaching, and outreach are centered on applying design and technology as effective mediums to raise awareness about contemporary social, political, and cultural dilemmas.

He has received some prestigious design awards and his work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, magazines, museums and websites around the world such as the Center for Contemporary Art, London International Creative Competition, The Sechrest Gallery of Art, Rubin Center for the Visual Arts, Graphis, Mut zur Wut, Commarts and etc.
