Tehran Book Garden Typeface
The Book Garden (Baghe Ketab) typeface is suitable for long texts, e.g. books, press, and official lettering that should be easy to read for everyone. Being inspired by Naskh script, and having kind of open contours and teeth, make it easier, better, and faster to read. Because of using familiar forms and avoiding very sharp angles, Book Garden is suitable for Persian readers, and the even color makes it even more legible.
Keeping the design balanced makes Book Garden familiar with all types of people. While trying to stick to the original style, we tried to add something new and creative, so it would have a fresh look and be nice to read.
Book Garden includes three weights: Light, Regular, and Bold. This typeface was designed from 2009 to 2013, and its family was completed in 2014.
In 2015, Tehran Municipality chose this typeface to be exclusively used in Tehran “Book Garden” project. Therefore, it is not available for purchase.
