Roya Bakh Typeface
Good and legible fonts make the text more readable, the eyes less tired, the reading more fast, and the readers more concentrated. With clear teeth, open contours, and very simple and familiar forms, Roya* Bakh is a legible, smooth and modern typeface. This typeface is suitable for long texts, and now with having 10 weighs, it can be used in press titles and advertising.
The interesting part is that this font takes 10% less space than it’s the original version. It means 10% percent decrease in expenses and usage of paper.
Redesigning and developing Roya font in 2015, led to the creation of “Roya Bakh” typeface family. Letters, numbers, punctuations, and diacritics were redesigned, and its deficiency for Farsi and Arabic languages were solved. The weights increased from two to ten. The very first version of Roya was co-designed by Kamran Ansari, Mr. Jalai, and Mr. Daneshvar.
*Roya means dream. It’s also a girl’s name.
Roya Bakh achieved two honors:
• Special mention in The First Iranian Book Design Annual, 2015
• The great prize in 2015 Silk Road Spirit-The 1st WEST International Design Biennial, 2015
