The Beirut Art Book Fair in its fourth edition will be held in Beirut, at the ARTHEUM.
The opening will be on Wednesday, May 8 at 7 pm.
This year's Guest of Honor Mexico will show its rich wealth of art books and art.
Other highlights will be the Lebanese Book Design Awards in six categories and the Prizes in the Photography Contest for university students.

The 2013 edition will host an art exhibition of the Mexican painter Ramadam Kareem. A rich cultural program with performances, music from soprano to Hip Hop, talks and book-signings at the Art Café will be on the daily schedule. An Illustrators Space for the professionals, Young Artists Space for children, Initiating Artists Space and Calligraphy Space will inspire the public. The Fair’s catalogue will emphasize art books from Mexico and Lebanese architecture books.
Get your camera and shoot photos at the Opening Ceremony on Wednesday, 8 May, at 7 pm.
Inscription just before the ceremony is free.
Submit maximum three photos before Friday, 10 May at noon in the Fair in digital format in the original size and quality in jpeg or tiff (minimum180 dpi,30 cm minimum per side) on CD and in printed format 30-40 cm on glossy photo paper bearing photographer’s number on the back, without names. All styles of photography or artwork using digital processes as integral to the creation of the images are acceptable.
A professional jury consisting of art critics, journalists and professional photographers, will judge the photos.
Distribution of prizes and certificates of participation in the closing ceremony of the Fair on Saturday, 11 May at 7pm.
