—ARABIC TYPE DESIGN COMPETITION
• HOROUF : Binlingual Type Design Competition
Submission : Deadline 15 July 2014
Since the Arabic type design competition (a collaboration between Khatt Foundation and Linotype at the Kitabat Conference in Dubai in 2005), an Arabic-specific type design competition has not taken place. The HOROUF competition is the first 'Bilingual-Type Design Competition' with emphasis on Arabic, in the Arab region (a collaboration between 29LT font Foundry and NUQAT). The Khatt Foundation is happy to endorse this event and encourages all of you interested to submit designs to this competition, which will be juried by a professional and international jury of experts in the field.
