Book: Farideh Shirjian

My three books were published:First Session: History/We, the Scattered Group/The Imagination Box(2016)

The three plays that are based on textbooks written for teens.

These three books, First Session: History (It is started from period of Ghajar to Islamic revolution of Iran in 1979), we the Scattered Group (synthesis of the most imperative topics of Civics and Life Skills textbooks), The Imagination Box (based on literature textbook), present and describe the experiences which are gained by incorporating and applying two methods; Drama in Education and Theatre in Education. To use this method, based on textbooks taught in secondary schools, we have aimed at producing theatrical works for addressing youths. It has been an independent and autonomous movement, which is based on action (operational) research, has been done by Farideh Shirjian from 2011and it is still in progress in Iran.
The most important purposes of this project are: to join people and theater for preparing the primary bases of achieving Popular Theatre; as Augusto Boal states: a kind of theatre in which people are not just viewers, rather they take part in making their own theatre. To help improving education system and adjust new ideas and information on Applied Theater to social circumstances in Iran.
The books have been published by The Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young People in 2016.
