Left to right, the transformation from calligraphic type to text type in Arabic. The differences in letter proportions to make the transformation are: reduction space for ascenders and descenders, reduce the difference between loop-height and tooth-height, make inner forms bigger and make letter widths more similar. This recipe is based on optical constraints so it is true for both the Latin and the Arabic script.
