The link between Hassan Massoudi and Julien Breton

My latest addition to my blog on Arabic calligraphy and Arabic type is an article on the influence of the Iraqi calligrapher, Hassan Masoudi on the young French artist, Julien Breton. Breton, who copies Massoudi's wide sweeping strokes in his paper work, has taken Arabic calligraphic forms to the third, even fourth dimension with works drawn with light in space.

The article has a short commentary on Massoudi's style and has links to Khalil Zahawi and Nja Mahdaoui who work in different calligraphic styles.
