1. The First International Contemporary Art Exhibition in Carthage: Chkoun Ahna, Tunis. A promising beginning with an up and coming line up of Arab artists.
2. The Beirut Art Fair 2012, featuring this year a number of comics and urban artists. A growing trend in the art world and certainly a meaningful and fresh development in our region.
3. Not directly related, the 2nd Comics competition: AltCom2012 Anthology: No Borders, by the Swedish Comics Association. This theme is of particular interest to the Khatt Foundation: advocating activist graphic design and creative expression.
4. Last but not least, is another activist design competition: Energy for All, by Utilita Manifesta. A graphic design, industrial design, and video competition on the theme of energy and sustainability.
